Biography

Susana Rutherford is both a painter and stained glass artist. The natural world around her has always been a favourite subject. Rutherford's work explores the relationships of humans to other species in bold paintings that confront our animal brethren as other sentient beings. Rutherford continues to explore colour and geometric pattern in her abstract frames and enhance each piece. Having participated in many group shows and solo shows here and abroad Susana Rutherford is a mid career artist. Rutherford also has twenty years of applied arts background working as a commercial stained glass artist and now undertakes commisions in PEI.
