Biography

Gail is a graduate of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. She has taught metalsmithing for the Continuing Education Department at NSCAD, the Nunavut Arctic College, NU, Aurora College, NT and for Walker Studios in Charlottetown, PE where she is presently working.  Her jewellery includes images reminiscent of her childhood; crows, homes, water and trees are all present. Always searching for what the future might hold, Gail uses seeds and arrows to represent growth and direction.
Her new work, made of silver, gold and semi-precious stones are a series of pieces to be worn close to the wearer’s heart, the 'Wishing Vessels'. The wearer inserts a word or phrase into the vessel and through the magic of hopes and dreams, their wish will come true.
Gail was born and raised in Cape Breton, NS. A love of travel and adventure has brought her to many provinces in Canada and she presently resides in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island with her husband and two sons.
