Biography

The Centre For Performing ARTS is a multi functional Arts Centre located in South Eastern Kings County, devoted to all genres of the Performing ARTS as well as all disciplines of ARTS.  Our mission statement includes the goals of being both accessible and affordable to all patrons, as well as performers, and students in the ARTS. Programs in ballet, jazz, tap, step dancing, choreography, creative movement, adult dancercizing, a new concept in dance for fitness, as well as visual arts, music instructions in various instrument education, theater, drama, performance for youth to adult are held daily, year round.  Creative writing programs are available to both youth, teen, and adults.  New programs and courses are added as need and desires are known. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights are devoted to onstage performance ranging from individuals, to groups, bands, theater groups, etc.  Thursday nights are Jazz and Comedy Night.  Friday night is open mic/jam session night, and Saturdays are devoted to showcase band performances, as well as theatrical, community, and dance performance.  Sundays are community family shows as well as Contemporary Christian Coffee House Concerts. Community PlayHouse Theatre, and Dinner Theatre productions have now been added to the Centre's line up of performance nights.
