Biography

Cindy Amador is a multi-talented artist. As a writer, Cindy is a poet, essayist and playwright. She is the recipient of the 2006 Palanca Foundation Literary Awards 3rd place for a full-length play in English. She has acted on stage and film, her latest performance as Thelma Cates in "Night Mother" and as the Principal in the Indie film "Idol: Pagasa ng Bayan" (Hope of the Nation). As a painter, Cindy's preferred medium is watercolor, acrylic, and tempera, and her genre is abstract art. Her last choreographic works were a Maria Clara Suite for "Love, Death, and Mompou," a dance concert performed at the Spanish Arts Festival 2006 in Manila, Philippines, and "42nd Street Suite," for the dance concert "Benildanze on Broadway" (Manila, 2007). Cindy looks forward to becoming a full-time artist on PEI.
